About Raymond J. Aab

Raymond Aab has four decades of experience as a lawyer, practicing in the State and Federal courts of New York and the federal court of Puerto Rico  as well as the U.S. Immigration Courts. 

Raymond Aab is an experienced lawyer and is of counsel to the law firm of Koehler & Issacs, LLP. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Fordham Law School, and has been practicing law since 1978.

Prior to graduating from law school, Mr. Aab was a detective for the New York City Police Department where he investigated narcotics offenses, robberies, homicides and other serious crimes. From 1993-1997, Mr. Aab served as Commissioner to the newly configured New York City Police Department Civilian Complaint Review Board, which was charged with investigating police misconduct including excessive use of force complaints.

Mr. Aab has concentrated his practice in the area of criminal law, immigration, bankruptcies and litigation. He has handled hundreds of cases in both State and Federal courts of all types, including serious white collar offenses, drug cases and sexual and theft offenses. Mr. Aab has tried many cases in both State and Federal courts, and has performed many State and Federal appeals.

Mr. Aab is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, The American Bar Association,  the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is admitted to the New York Bar, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Region of New York and for the District of Puerto Rico, as well as the Courts of Appeal for the Second and Third Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
